Organisers statement

Following the decision to postpone the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Disability Innovation Summit will not be taking place in Tokyo this August as originally planned.

We would like to thank our Tokyo Summit co-hosts, the British Council Japan, Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) and the World Health Organisation Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology (GATE) Initiative.

We remain committed to our objective of exploring global breakthroughs in disability technology, innovation and culture and will work closely with our co-hosts to build collaborative relationships and explore opportunities for the 2021 Paralympic Games and beyond, once the date of the Games is known.
